Our Community Partners

South Asian SOAR is the home for the national movement to end gender-based violence in the South Asian diaspora. Founded in 2021, its aim is to unite a national movement of survivors, advocates, and allies committed to preventing and ending violence. Over 48% of South Asians in the United States experience some form of gender-based violence, including domestic, sexual, emotional, and financial abuse.
SOAR is currently in a race to raise $50,000 for a matching grant of $50,000 by the Bhatia Foundation before the end of the year.
PLEASE DONATE HERE.

One of SOAR’s most inspiring projects is the newly published anthology, “SANCTUARIES: In Yours, I Found Mine”. This powerful collection of 20 stories from South Asian survivors of all ages is moving and hopeful, offering actionable ways for all of us to contribute to ending violence.
